I will think preparing for a huge move is a blessing in disguise sometimes. For anyone who has moved in the last three years - you know the routine: Clean out your drawers and cupboards ( embroidery thread ) , rid your home of clutter and clear off all your counter tops.
In the beginning, it’s a bit of a heart stopper seeing all your precious belongings disappearing from eyesight, but after awhile you start to get used to the sleek look of clean drawers and counter ( machine embroidery thread ) tops. Abruptly, you have the ability to gain your hands on just what you need at a moment’s notice since everything has its place. This sense of having a cleaning effect and we promise to continue this new discipline, when you move
.
Eventually, the day of the big move reaches and offf you go to a new home with a fresh begin. Although you may have the perfect of purposes, finally your old disorderly methods rear their ugly heads and your house reverts back to its old state of mess.
Don’t beat yourself up. Staying organized is a skill, and just like any talent it requires practice. In the same way you start a diet or exercise program, led by one or two positive changes every week, and finally a house party hosted in your daily life
.
Here are enough organization tips to last for 10 days, after that, you’ll be dreaming up your own ideas.
1. Hang a cork board in your mud room to help keep you organized as you dash out of the house. The board is excellent for those shopping lists, prescriptions, or reminder notes that you seem to usually be neglecting. Give it some extra functionality by screwing a magnetic knife holder to the frame of your cork board. Take advantage of it to hold keys (not good for car keys with built in chips), scissors, screwdriver, even a small flashlight.
2. Hang a large tote bag in a common area and use it to collect clothing ( polyester embroidery thread ) and other items destined for donation.
