Pop up displays

Are you aware of the fact that you can still visit a trade show anywhere in the country and see one Pop Up Booth after another? This innovative and yet simply to use booth design was first introduced thirty years ago. It's amazing the in a time when businesses have to reinvent themselves every two to three years and most products have a pretty short shelf life, the venerable Pop Up design is still hot. Not only are start-up businesses still purchasing them but large corporations like Amazon.com own one or more.com uses a pop up booth for their more localized shows.

Why is the Pop Up Display still so popular? The pop up booth was so distinctive back in the late 1970's in that it was designed so that one person could easily set up a 10 x 10’ display in less than 25-30 minutes. The case-to-table conversion kit option was developed so as to hide the shipping case AND to provide a reception counter. Not only does the exhibitor save money on a reception counter rental but they get to keep their shipping case on the floor. This important at the end of the convention because there is no hold up for the sales person anxious to get going as they wait for the union workers to bring it in from the warehouse.

Portable Displays have two primary advantages. There are more but let's focus upon these two. The main function of an exhibit is to communicate quickly to a show attendee walking down the aisle. What is the message? A). What each show exhibitor offers in the way of a product or service and B). Why they should stop for a visit. A Pop Up Booth with large format mural panels is still performing this function quite well.

The price of a Pop Up is the second reason. Prices for Pop Up Booths have come down by 60-65% over the last 6-8 years. This makes it possible for young start-up businesses to attend a show that might not otherwise be able to afford it. The low cost of owning a Pop Up Display is also a factor. They store in a closet and ship via UPS. They can be stored almost anyplace and ship via UPS. There is the fact, of course, that a pop up booth with mural graphics still commands a 10 x 10' space as well as any.
